About

Jevgenijs Steinbuks is a Research Economist at Center for Global Trade Analysis, Purdue University. His primary research focus is on the issues of energy economics, financial economics, an international economics of climate change. His articles have appeared in academic journals and working paper series including Energy Economics, the Journal of Economics and Business, World Bank Policy Research Papers and Cambridge Working Papers in Economics. Jevgenijs Steinbuks received a Ph.D. in Economics from the George Washington University in 2008. Before joining Purdue University Dr. Steinbuks worked as a researcher at Georgetown University, a consultant to the World Bank, and an economist at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia. He also taught Economics at the George Washington University and Miami University. Dr. Steinbuks is affiliated to the Electricity Policy Research Group at the University of Cambridge, where he is involved in the analysis of energy demand, and energy security in the Baltic States.
